Edmonton, AB - EPCOR Tower is pleased to announce that BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts, will be moving their Edmonton offices onto three of the tower's floors in late 2018 or early 2019.

The tower's central location, flexible technology, and access to amenities fit with the studio’s culture and passion to deliver quality in the workplace. The tower's LEED® Gold Certification and BOMA BEST Gold Management reflect BioWare’s own interest in sustainability and the environment. “EA and BioWare are committed to providing world-class facilities for our employees, and this move will allow us to deliver on that promise,” said Casey Hudson, BioWare’s General Manager. “We’re thrilled to be moving into a modern, state-of-the art facility and live in a space that empowers and inspires us to do our best work every day.”

Built in 2011, in a joint venture with Qualico and Ledcor Properties, EPCOR Tower is thrilled to have such a prominent member of its growing tech community joining its tenant roster. “We are excited and proud that this iconic local company has chosen EPCOR Tower as its home,” said Sidney Waskiewich, Vice President Leasing at Qualico Commercial. “BioWare’s tenancy continues our history of supporting Edmonton created businesses.”

Since 1995, BioWare has been bestowed with many business-related awards and has created some of the world’s most critically acclaimed video games including Mass Effect™, Dragon Age™, and Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, to name a few.

Edmonton’s Downtown, with the newly built Royal Alberta Museum, Rogers Place, and ongoing revitalization, continues to attract businesses to its core.

“BioWare’s announcement to come downtown is a great addition to our innovation corridor,” said Mayor Don Iveson. “Their expansion speaks to Edmonton’s supportive entrepreneurial culture, one where we build it here and expand it to the world.”
